iMac magic pad not working

Postby chameleoncas » Fri Feb 24, 2012 3:18 am

I just downloaded chains1.3 from the mac app store and it loads but I'm stuck on the first screen and can't play the game. What do I need to do to correct this?
Thanks.

What exactly is not working? Clicks or movement?

Clicks. Movement is fine.

I think we might need to update the version of Chains on the Mac store.
Keep an eye out for updates in the next few days.

I don't think it's a lua issue that update would fix. Plus the Mac Store does their own QA. It's something environmental, maybe 3rd party software like USB Overdrive?

i don't have that software. i restarted the program and i've got a better idea what's not working. i assumed the movement of the mouse was working because i can see the arrow moving. however, the levels and menu options weren't becoming highlighted as i scroll over them. i am now realizing that both the movements and clicks are picking up but the problem is that it is recognizing both when the mouse icon is about 3/4inch above the intended mark. this is very weird. i have to be directly above where i actually want to make my selection by nearly an inch and then the menu options will highlight. it even let me start my first game but it was virtually impossible to play because i have to be somewhere between 2 and 3 circles above the circle i'm actually trying to select making play pretty difficult. i've checked for updates and haven't found any.

Hi, it might take a while longer until the new version is released.
Meanwhile, please check your Private Messages as I've contacted you there.

That means the cursor position is not calculated properly. Try changing the window size in the options menu.
